Dr Todd Fisher to speak at OBU winter launch on December 18

Dr. Todd Fisher, executive director-elected treasurer of the Oklahoma Baptists and senior pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church in Shawnee, will deliver the keynote address at the Oklahoma Baptist University Winter Start Ceremony. The service will take place on Saturday, December 18 at 2 p.m. in the Potter Auditorium at Raley Chapel.

Fisher received a Bachelor of Arts from OBU in 1992. He then continued his studies at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary where he obtained a Masters of Divinity in Biblical Languages ​​in 1996. In 2001, he received a Doctorate in Ministry from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and later earned a doctorate. and Th.M. from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Fisher has been Senior Pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church in Shawnee since 2003. He has 30 years of pastoral experience and has held several leadership positions in the life of SBC, including his recent term as President of Oklahoma Baptists. He has taught at OBU, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has also served on various boards of directors, most notably as chairman of the board of directors of Southern Seminary.

Fisher spoke to Bison Hill on several occasions. Earlier this semester, he spoke at the university’s pastors conference held during the reunion in October. He also delivered the message at the annual Founder’s Day Chapel in 2019. He previously gave an opening address at the OBU in December 2011.
