Forest Church: Connecting With God Through Creation This Christmas

December 13, 2021

Forest Church is a growing ministry that helps people connect with God in and through His creation.

If you are someone who sees a beautiful sunset or a beautiful landscape and feels uplifted and awed by the work of God, then you are probably someone who would appreciate Forest Church!

Forest Church doesn’t have to be in a forest, it can be anywhere outside.

It’s really all ages and while being a Christian movement, it welcomes people of all faiths and none.

Many churches in our diocese run Forest Church, including The United Benefice of Orsett, Bulphan and Horndon on the Hill who have run Forest Church for a year now.

It takes place once a month on a Saturday afternoon and is enjoyed by people of all ages.

Their next Forest Church session will be on Saturday January 6.

Benefice Rector Reverend Sue Mann said: “The Forest Church is popular with a wide range of people, including those who attend church regularly on Sundays and those who feel less at home. comfortable with formal worship in a church building. Our next Forest Church session is on the theme of Advent and Christmas and we will think of Jesus as the light of the world.

Forest Church sessions are held at St Giles & All Saints, Orsett at 4 p.m. on:

  • Saturday 8 January
  • saturday 5 february
