Fully Funded Carson City 140 AYSO Region Scholarship Program to 2022 | News from Carson City, Nevada
AYSO Carson City, which has served more than 25,000 children since 1976, is able to cover the cost of partial and full scholarships thanks to a grant provided by the Carson Tahoe Health Community Partnership Fund and the determination of an employee by CTH. AYSO, a non-profit organization, will use the funds to cover registration fees for families who demonstrate need for the organization.
âAs a fully voluntary organization, we work diligently to provide a great football learning experience for every child we work with,â said Jon Hager, Commissioner of Carson City AYSO Region 140. âThanks to the support of the CTH Community Partnership Fund, we are able to significantly reduce registration fees for participants in need and in some cases fully cover registration fees. This will allow us to serve even more children and introduce football into their lives.
A private, not-for-profit 501 (c) (3) health system, Carson Tahoe Health has served the community since 1949. In 2019, the CTH Community Partnership Fund was established to provide funding and assistance to improve health and The well-being. -be underserved and vulnerable people in the region. The fund aims to promote health equity, ensuring that everyone has the same opportunity to live a healthy life, regardless of their socioeconomic status.
âI applied to the Carson Tahoe Health Community Partnership Fund to help support my daughter’s competitive traveling soccer team, which I help coach,â said Luis Rodriguez, chief MRI technologist at Carson Tahoe Health. âRather than sponsoring a team, Carson Tahoe worked with AYSO to fund their entire scholarship program for the next two years. This month marks my 15th anniversary working for Carson Tahoe and I couldn’t be more proud to work for an organization that supports my community.
