Seminarians to Begin Annual Cycling Tour Throughout the Archdiocese | Local News
In an effort to raise awareness of vocations to the diocesan priesthood and to support those currently in formation, the seminarians of the Seminary of Saint Charles Borromeo are continuing the third annual Biking for Vocations event.
For five days (August 4-8), 10 seminarians will cycle through the Archdiocese to offer holy hours, prayer services and discuss their vocational paths in the parishes of the Archdiocese.
Cycling for Vocations will begin with an opening ceremony and blessing of bikes by Bishop Timothy C. Senior, Rector of Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary, August 4 at 9:00 am at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood.
After the welcoming ceremony, the seminarians will leave on separate routes (perimeter and interior) for their five-day pilgrimage.
While the routes will stop at different parishes along the way, both routes will converge at the Basilica-Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul on the last day of the hike. Bishop Nelson J. Pérez will welcome the seminarians in the parking lot next to the Cathedral Basilica.
