Seminars provide call day details

Both Lutheran Church and Missouri Synod Seminaries (LCMS) will provide live, online coverage of their upcoming call and assignment day services.

Concordia Seminary, Saint-Louis (CSL), will hold its two Call Day services on April 26 on the CSL campus in the St. Timothy and St. Titus Chapel:

  • April 26, 3 p.m. CDT — Service of the Word with the assignment of internships for vicariates and deaconesses
  • April 26, 7 p.m. CDT — Vespers service with assigned calls

Rev. Dr. Lucas Woodford, president of the LCMS Minnesota Southern District, will preach during the 3 p.m. service, and Rev. Dr. R. Lee Hagan, president of the LCMS Missouri District, will preach during the 7 p.m. service.

Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne (CTSFW)will hold its Call Day services April 26-27 at the Kramer Chapel on the CTSFW campus:

  • April 26, 7 p.m. EDT — Evening prayer with distribution of Vicarage and Deaconess internship assignments
  • April 27, 7 p.m. EDT — Office of Vespers with Distribution of Calls to the Holy Ministry

Rev. Wilfred L. Karsten, pastor of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Moline, Illinois, will preach April 26, and Rev. Donald J. Fondow, president of LCMS Minnesota North District, will preach April 27.
